Photography is simply the beginning.
At Welshot Creative for Kids & Teens, we use photography as a creative tool to inspire confidence, encourage curiosity, develop new skills and help young people connect with the world, and others around them.
Whether they're using a camera, a phone or borrowing one of ours, every child is welcome. There are no exams, no competition and no pressure, just creativity, encouragement and the freedom to explore.
PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE VEHICLE, NOT THE DESTINATION
We're not here simply to teach children how to take photographs.
We're here to help them become curious, creative and confident young people.
Photography gives children a reason to slow down, notice the little things, explore new places, solve creative problems, express themselves and see the world from a different perspective.
The photographs they take are wonderful.
The confidence they gain is even more important.
