OUR STORY

Between us, we have over 40 years of photographic experience and have guided, supported, and helped hundreds of people through our one-to-one tuition sessions, workshops, creative events, and photographic adventures which have included numerous overseas trips.

We've worked with complete beginners, families, young people working towards their Duke of Edinburgh's Award, professional photographers, community groups and organisations including North Wales Police and Cheshire Police.

But qualifications, experience and the number of events we've run only tell part of the story.

What really matters to us is helping children and teenagers to slow down, become curious, notice the world around them and discover that creativity isn't about being perfect.

WHY WELSHOT FOR KIDS & TEENS?

Photography is about exploring, experimenting, and having the confidence to see things differently. Then knowing how to capture it through the lens.

Whether a young person uses a camera, a phone or borrows one of ours, our aim is always the same: to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where they can build confidence, express themselves creatively, learn new skills and, most importantly, enjoy the experience.

We're proudly independent, so if we recommend a camera, a piece of kit or a creative resource, it's because we genuinely believe it's the right choice, not because someone has paid us to say so.

At Welshot Creative for Kids & Teens, we believe every child has a creative eye.

Sometimes they just need someone to help them discover it.
